About

We have all been to the grocery store and as we approach the check stand the first thing the cashier says before even a hello is, “Paper or Plastic.”  This question, so simple yet so complex, gets thrown out there with every customer and we soon find ourselves standing there making a split decision about which way to go.    Paper is derived from killing trees, wasting water, and using precious fuel on the machines, which mix and create the paper.  Plastic on the other hand is man made, does not break down (well, 450 years or so), and pollutes our oceans- in turn killing marine life and coral reefs.

Though we may have painted a dreary picture of the future of the earth and pollution, there is something you can do about it.

Born and raised on the shores of Southern California comes a new company called “Reusethisbag.com.”  RTB’s founding members make up is that of your typical every day American’s born and raised amongst the thriving surf culture that rules the sand in southern California.  “We started the company as a way to give back and help the environment” says Doug Lober, President.  “We all grew up here in Manhattan Beach and have seen plastic bags on the beach and in the water for years!  In fact, I even found a syringe one time with about a 2-inch needle sticking out of it-right in the sand!

Other than that there isn’t much one can do to make that much of an impact on the world.  But, if we spread the word about the importance of reusing grocery bags, and somehow this grassroots movement catches on, the end up benefit to the Earth and us is going to be huge!  We are talking millions of gallons of fresh water saved, millions of gallons of fuel saved, and hundreds of thousands of acres of forest land saved every year!”  To top it all off we have decided to donate a part of our profits to both the Surfrider Foundation and the Sierra Club!

Reusethisbag’s grocery bags are made from a non-woven high density Polypropylene.  Each bag comes with a PET baseboard that provides the bag with additional support and stability when packed.  The bags are recyclable and machine washable in cold water.  Other than that they are colorful, contain neat positive messages and so far everyone has taken to the whole idea behind the vision.

Sincerely,

The Team at ReuseThisBag.com
